TR>>RS>Most Tea Party candidates nationwide lost.
TR>>RS>Many of them lost big.
TR>>False!
TR>>ABC News\Politics
TR>>"Candidates backed by the Tea Party scored major victories in
TR>>Tuesday's midterm elections even as some of its most high-profile
TR>>candidates suffered upsets."
Now, notice he calls the first two lines above false, in spite
of the fact that what he posted does not even contradict those
lines.
TP candidates scored major victories is not the same as most TP
candidates scored major victories. Most TP candidates went down
the toilet. Some scored major victories.
Note, the TP scored major victories, the republicans didn't.
TR>>RS>The most idiotic of the bunch, Art Robinson in Oregon, Christine
TR>>RS>O'Donnell in Delaware, and Sharron Angle in Nevada lost.
TR>>"From South Carolina to Wisconsin, candidates endorsed by Tea Party
TR>>groups defeated democrats in unlikely states."
And lost to democrats in states where republicans would probably
have won.
JB>>What he fails to realize is that the Tea Party didn't exist 2 years ago.
JB>>For only being around 2 years, they scored some impressive victories. I
JB>>don't think anyone, including them, expected to win every race in which
JB>>they participated.
TR> Thats true. When the Tea Party first came along, the
TR> leftists must have felt threatened by it, as the first
TR> thing they did was try to hang the `racist' tag on it.
No, the first thing they did was call them Tea Baggers. Then the
TPers tried to deflect from that by screaming race card. Though
the TP is still mostly older white male. That even their
defenders can't deny.
TR> That didn't work.
The right is quite expert at deflecting the truth.
TR> They tried to marginalize it, ignore it, pretend it
TR> wouldn't take off, probably hoping to discourage people
TR> from supporting it.
Which, it turns out, is the real world. Most people don't
support the TP.
TR> That didn't work, either.
It wasn't necessary, the TP not only never had majority support,
but they are going to be in trouble as soon as the republicans
get a handle on how to put them down.
TR> And from non-existance two years ago, it went on to hand
TR> the democrats one of the biggest defeats in the House in US
TR> history!
And they handed the republicans a major defeat also. Yet the TP
still has no real power, and the TP probably cost the
republicans control of the senate.
The TP had their day, now they will either start downhill, or
push the real republican party off the cliff.
TR> My hope is that it continues to grow, its aim is always a
TR> return to Constitutional government, the end of `creative'
TR> interpretations of the Constitution.
Actually, their goal is to make life better for themselves, and
to hell with the rest of the country.
When TR realizes that his medicare and social security go away
when National Health care is declared unconstutional, we'll see
how he feels about it.
Or, when National Health care continues under the republicans,
with very little change, he will realize it was all for show.
