C6 is a respectible C compiler.

It depends on what you're using it for. It won't produce 32-bit code, but
if you're using it for DOS, Windows or  OS/2 apps, that's hardly a problem.
Since you're just learning the language, it'll put you in good stead.

This isn't a function of the _compiler_, but the libraries. There's a
reasonably good kit called SVGAKIT which provides most of what  you'll need
to "support SVGA graphics". With a C compiler, you can
"support" whatever you like - it just produces code. Whatever you
do with that code is up to you.
