Hey Michele!

Great! That solves one problem.

Hmmmm.

Sounds good. That is probably the best option for right now unless you
want to go to a different BBS package.

I agree 100%. I am looking into a few things to see where it can be adapted.

Yes I was looking for an example cfg file so I could test it out. No rush
on this though as there is a bigger fish to fry at the moment.

If you're asking me I'd have to say go with the heat option. Even
upgrading Linux won't solve the problem as there are bugs. Getting a
working Linux BBS won't pay your heating bill, or at least I don't believe
it would, so it looks like POTs would be the best option right now. I will
do my best at this end.

Hmmmmm. I don't know. You'd think it would be possible if it doesn't
already do that.

 MMD> and typing

I hear you.

Oh yeah. I don't have nearly that many bases and I am already thinking
about a Perl script to automatically create a msgarea.ctl from squish.cfg.
However it would be really nice to have an areafix that could do something
like this as well for the squish.cfg.

If you're asking my advice, I am not sure you are, I'd say go with what you
have working on POTs and hang in there with the Linux on the side. I will
do all I can to get a networking Maximus going. If you'd like I could get
a CD or two your way so that you're more up to date. No pressure though as
your current setup is just fine in my humble opinion and an upgrade won't
give you a solid working Linux Maximus ... not just yet anyhow.

Life is good,
Maurice
