mVÌPVÿÿ> I'm not aware of a 30w-30, but that might cause other issues. mVÌPVÿÿ> mVÌPVÿÿ> - Mark Used to use 30 30 in the aircooled VW and/or the lawn mower. Why? Because the engine tolerances were loose to accomodate for the expansion of a hot air cooled engine during heating and cooling. VW had more problems when their aircooled engines got bigger and ran hotter. They kept playing with alloy combinations that would allow the engine the ability to expand and contract. So... they played with the ratio of aluminum, silicon and magnesium. It was well known that if your Porsche 914 engine caught fire, then you should abandon the car and and just watch as the magnesium did it's fireworks display and melt like the wicked witch in the wizard of oz. Nothing you could do about it. jah --- WWIVToss v.1.50* Origin: http://www.weather-station.org * Bel Air, MD -USA (1:261/1304.0) SEEN-BY: 3/0 633/267 640/954 712/0 313 550 620 848 953 @PATH: 261/1304 1 266/512 140/1 261/38 712/848 633/267 |
