Thanks for the info. What is an ASTM thermometer? I have been breeding
and handfeeding budgies and most recently cockatiels.  I have finally
decided to try amazons.  I bought my first pair, Oliver & Pokey, a few
months ago. Oliver & Pokey are an unproven pair of Yellow Naped Amazons.
They *were* spending alot of time in the nest box together at their old
home. Since I bought them, they have not gone near the nestbox. The male
of the pair has chewed up the entry hole some but that's all that has
happened.
I enjoy the genetics with the budgies and cockatiels.  Even better when
I get a baby whose color or pattern, I was not expecting.  I then have
to go back to the old drawing board to figure it out. Amazons are my
favorite birds even though they only come in two colors.
