Hey Benny! May 23 04:52 07, Benny Pedersen wrote to Maurice Kinal: RC>>> Is there a 64bit capable compiler available for use on MS Windows RC>>> systems? MK>> What no gcc? ;-) BP> cygwin ? Last I heard of that there was issues getting the win32 version working and in sync with every other gcc port, other than perhaps an OS/2 port which might even be further behind than cygwin. I have serious doubts about a 64-bit gcc for anything but Unices. Maybe OpenVMS on an Alpha but even there I have heard they were using a commercial C compiler which offhand I forget what was called but "Pure64" comes to mind. I'll have to check sometime when I get bored enough to browse. :::shudder::: Have you tried gcc-4.2 yet? Been having a few difficulties with it and building a glibc package once it gcc is bootstrapped. Beats me why that is but it keeps getting into an infinite loop on something in the ntpl stuff. Do you have any help or words of wisdom in this cause?
