I haven't seen any version of that editor since the early 1990's when the
16-bit DOS version known as QED.EXE was all the rage.  If I recall correctly
all I ever used it for was all ascii text so that would be extremely easy to
convert to anything except UTF-16 or UTF-32 not that either of those matter
any.
