On 12-06-06, WAYNE CHIRNSIDE said to MIMI GALLANDT: WC>Might one inquire how it happens you know I have not had a stroke? If you ever had a stroke........it certainly wasn't in the last ten or more years. You live alone (except that dog you had that died recently). Since the year 2000, I have been archiving every .qwk packet I get for Fido. Very few .qwk packets in my extensive archives do not contain at least one (or more) post from you. For one thing....a stroke isn't something you have today, and two days from now you're posting in Fido again as though nothing happened. A stroke is a very traumatic physical\mental experience. It usually has immediate effects that are on-going for a period of a couple of weeks, if not months. Sometimes the damage done to the brain is permanent. If you had actually had a stroke, you'd have been hospitalized and probably disappeared from Fido for several months, maybe for good and all. Strokes aren't something that are just `had' and then passed off by someone being a smartass like you are being here. They are serious situations. They were sometimes refered to as `CVA'.......or `Cerebrovascular accident'. Blood flow to a part of the brain is interrupted for one reason or another, which means that part becomes unable to recieve oxygen. As a result.......local brain function is effected in great or lesser ways (partial paralysis....speech impairment, even coma). Believe me.......if you had a stroke.........we'd know. --- *Durango b301 #PE* "My claim about seeing plane crashes, I never did." O.R.
