Howdy! Again Daryl,

EV>Howdy! Daryl,
DS> Hi, Ed...
EV>You might be right about the second line ending at the word DOG.
EV>I haven't type those lines in a long time.
DS> I remember "Now is the time for all good men to come to the aid of
DS> their country", and "The quick brown fox jumped over the lazy
DS> dog"...the latter, because it has every letter in the alphabet at least
DS> once.
Yes, I remember being told that about the THE QUICK BROWN... line.
Every Key on the Typewriter (Keyboard) is used when typing that line,
IF I don't get My fingers crossed.
EV>I think I'm repeating Myself here but here goes -
DS> Like the line in the movie "What's Up, Doc??" (Ryan
O'Neil, Barbara
DS> Streisand, and an all star cast). He said "I'm not repeating myself!!
DS> I'm not repeating myself!! Oh, God!! I'm repeating myself!!" .
Never saw that movie. Was that one made when Movies Were Better Than Ever?
EV>I had played with Typewriters a few times with the HAP Method -
EV>Hunt And Peck.
DS> Was that discovered by HAP-enstance??
GOOD UN! +1 for U!
EV>After some time I was hearing all 26 letters, sent as some words or
EV>as five letter code groups.
DS> I think the nervous system damage that I got from the 2 lightning
DS> strikes, affected me copying CW. I did try a 5 WPM CW test, when it was
DS> still offered. I failed it, but if I had filled in the blanks, I might
DS> have passed it. However, it's a moot point now.
It has been some time since You took that 5 WPM CW Test, try it again to
see it You and make any sense out of what You hear.
EV>Then the sending speed was increased.
DS> At a hamfest in the Little Rock area many years ago, they had "A CW
DS> Shootout At High Noon". Two hams tied for the top at 55 WPM!!
WOW! 35 WPM sounds like a Machine Gun to Me, back when I was active on the
Air I was comfortable with sending/receiving 22 WPM.
Don't know how good I am at it now, I guess I HAVE TO add another line to
the ROUNDTUIT List to listen to a Code Practice session on the Radio.
I think [TM] I can listen to that on a web page also............
EV>Could She feed You the Crow and Pie while You and Her did a do-si-do on the
EV>square dance floor?
DS> I'd eat between the dancing "tip"...which is a
"patter call" (square
DS> dance moves only to music), then a "singing call" (square
dance moves
DS> done to a song).
You said, "I'd eat" - SHE didn't get to eat some of that
"four and twenty
black birds baked in a pie" with You?
Surely She licked Her fingers to get a little taste of it.
I was wondering if She Square Danced too, that's why I asked.
Maybe keeping Daryl in line was enough for Her to do and She sat on the
bench and watched You.
Back in the 1970's Me and My Wife went to a Community get together and
watched some older people Square Dancing and the young people doing a little
bit different style of dancing while the music was playing.
Everybody on the floor was having fun while We just sat and watched.
DS> While 3 hours of square dancing is equivalent to 6 miles of walking,
DS> many go out afterwards to eat and chat...including having "a banana hot
DS> fudge royale sundae"...after all, they did EARN it!!
That is a new style of sundae to Me.
Is it served in a Sundae Cup with the Banana sliced in Round [not Square]
pieces
or
in a Banana Split Dish with the Banana sliced lengthwise?
Sound Yummy to Me!
