No. I think that's what it's going to take to get the color portion working on max -k. Or the quick kludge that redirected console IO to work on Linux needs a re-write to properly implement the color coding..... Remember I said equivalent.... It maybe as simple as echoing an escape sequence or setting an environment variable properly in the command shell prior to running 'bin/max -k' -- that initializes the console into an ANSI (enhanced) VT-100 mode of operation..... I haven't looked at that section of code to see what's needed... Take care.....
