I never expected/believed that this day wuold come! :(

I thought that the Milky Way BBS was destined to be around as long as
the original Milky Way!

PDK was a wonderful generous sysop(system operator) of the long-running
Milky Way BBS(Bulletin Board System) -- a free community with thousands
of callers over the years, with hundreds of paid-for-by-PDK games, at
its peak, 4 telephone dial-up lines all paid by PDK, and as the BBS
community in Vancouver died, he dropped 3 dial-up lines, but replaced
them with internet(telnet) access, also free to the users!

Milky Way was PDK's wife/mistress, and we users were his beloved
children.

This is a sad time for the BBS community of Greater Vancouver(Langley),
and no doubt also for Gordon's city engineering friends/coworkers
who will no doubt likewise be missing the kind friendly "Phantom
Dirt King" (even if they have no clue what a "BBS" is, or
what "OS/2"
is!)

Good bye, Gordon, and may your connection to Paradise be a broadband
one!
