Hi Sandra, you where saying:
>That's the spirit mate, never give up, there are others that are much
>worse off. When spring arrives, the world looks different altogether..:)
SP> According to our weather guru, Wiarton Willy (as well as Puxatawny
SP> Phil and Buckeye ? in the States), there was no sun on Groundhog Day;
SP> they never saw their shadows so winter's end is in sight. And they got
SP> a couple good nips on their thickly-gloved handlers, too! :-)
Wiarton Willy....Puxatawny Phil.....hmmmmm and Buckeye as well...hmmm
can't say I have met any of that team...hehehe... but I'm sure they are
right. There stores must be running low..:)
SP> How does your wife use it? I used it on a burn and it didn't come up
SP> with usual blisters. I also rub it on aching joints from time to time,
SP> but Swedish Bitters does a better job at reducing swelling - that's
SP> what I normally use.
She uses it when she gets stung by any insect that does sting, and there
are many of them over here. When she has a minor wound to clean, or where
a disinfector is required. It's an ingredient in some of our natural
toiletries, like soap, deoderant, toothpasste and creams.
Though I don't think it would be of much use, if bitten by on of your
Groundhoggs.:))
SP> I think eucalyptus might finish me off. :-(
That tree isn't too bad, cause the blooms are very high up. Tea trees
are usually not so very tall, and there are usually many of them.
SP> We have horse chestnut trees locally, but I don't think they appeal to
SP> bees when the clovers are flowering. I have never heard of h.c. honey;
SP> so it must be well-diluted with clover. Oh well, honey is one of those
SP> tricky items that builds you up as it tears you down. :-)
Yup, the bees do like that clover nectar oright, don't know too much
about their behaviour as regards horse chestnut, but if it is like
Tea Tree honey, the clover would have not much chance keeping it's
mild flavour and light colour. The only thing is, that usually the clover
blooms at a different time then the tea trees do....
Honey as well as the other byproducts of the hive are very good for
healing and very healthy. My favourite honey is Leatherwood it comes
mainly from Tasmania, and most of it is exported to Germany, they
like the very aromatic strong flavour....and so do we...
Nice talking to you...
Greetings from sunny Redland...thanks for the abundant rain you sent
over to us....very much appreciate.....
Bill :)
