Very old farm expression... Using a mule's a-- for a compass

Tractors.. The little gray ones.. Not the old Fordson
with steel wheels.

I had about 4 thousand hours hours as an instructor navigator
and was qualified as bot Navigator and Radar-Navigator. I did
get some stick time on the 24 hour airborne alerts. many hours
of it over your area. I did the bomb drops for over 50 missions
from Guam to Vietnam in 1965... We were the FIRST arclight
missions....

Got to fly some on the long 24 hour ones... I was also civilian
pilot. Multi-engine and instrument rated.

Have flown over almost every inch of Canada. Also was stationed
in Newfoundland for three years... That was a real experience.
My training with the U.S. 6th Cavalry Regiment was something.
The horses could drill better than the men. :)
