Hello, All!
Thanks to you who responded to my plight regarding the hanging indents and 
two spaces at the end of a line that wraps.  While checking out your 
suggested solutions, I stumbled upon the answer.
 Tools > Options > Compatibility - Uncheck "Wrap Trailing Spaces to Next 
Line."
And now we know :)
