MD>>MD> Which is about how many fonts? Start counting....
MD>>LB>Close to seventy installed. far too many for normal use:
Hi Anne,
It was very thoughtful of you to think of me and offer your very
expertise advice. I have heard alot about you...all good.
I've had GeoWorks for about 6 years and never really mastered it. I
hear you do DTP on it. Anyhows, Windows came out and seemed to take
the whole world over. I couldn't fine any programs for Geos and was
at a stand still until I found this echo. Boy, I lucked out here, so
many people willing to help out. I am not a Windows kinda woman, I
find Geos much more user friendly and I still love it.
I am ordering Terri's fonts on a CD, which is coming out this week.
Chris Salleck, Michael Clasquin, Paul Lampert and Bob O'Brien have
been my support...and now I hope I can add you to my list. As I said
above, NY is not the place to find any Geos programs/users.
Thank you for your reply and the information.
AP>I keep about forty-five on-line in my font viewer, but I only keep

AP>Every few weeks I pull a dozen or so fonts from a special backup tape

I do not have a backup system...it's on my "wish list" for my husband
and children...I usually start one at the beginning of the year. This
way they know what I want or need. :) Sure an expensive hobby.

AP>I see you are in my sister's general vicinity. Are you near the Park
AP>Slopes area that has been designated a historical district because of
AP>the many old brownstones? When I was a very small child, I lived in
AP>the Kings Highway area, and so did my grandparents.
Small world! Not far from me but I haven't been there in years. One
of the BBS boards I belong to, lives there and said it is still one of
the better parts of Brooklyn. Kings Highway is changing like all the
boroughs around here are. I'm in Queens and that too is becoming a
slum area. I see you're in Texas now...don't know how lucky you are
to get out of here. I friend of a friend is now looking in Texas for
a home. I don't know exactly what area she is looking into. How long
is it since you were last here?
  Thanks again Anne.
