      Title: Hedda's Cookies
 Categories: Cookies, Snacks
      Yield: 12 Servings
 
      1 c  Sugar
      1 c  Shortening
      1 lg Egg
      1 ts Almond extract
  1 1/2 c  Flour
    1/2 ts Salt
      2 c  Flaked coconut
 
  Cream together sugar, shortening, egg and almond
  extract. Add flour and salt; mix well. Fold in coconut.
  Shape into 1" balls. Place on ungreased cookie sheets.
  Flatten with fork. Bake in 325ºF/165ºC oven for 15 to
  18 minutes until slightly golden around edges.
