Same here ... except I cook. But, recipes, good recipes are everywhere. The
"editorial" content was what made Gourmet a premiere foodie magazine.
Especially the stuff from Calvin Trillin, Dorie Greenspan and the editor, Ruth
Cousineau.

Bon Ap has recipes, but, neither the style nor substance of Gourmet. What they
did/do have is advertising lineage ... and advertising is what pays the freight
in *ALL* publication except those extremely expensive "report"
style things in
both the cooking and political fields.
