Hey Bob! Sep 30 19:00 03, Bob Jones wrote to Maurice Kinal: BJ>> Some place I thought I had the hook for using kermit with Max under BJ>> DOS and/or OS/2..... Was just looking a protocol.ctl and it got me to thinking that zmodem might work for transfers using lrzsz and some edits to the ctl file but if we're talking IP then I'm thinking a capable perl script might be controlled in the same manner, thus enabling an ftp transfer. I saw kermit there and had to chuckle. I bet I could get that working once I get Max up and networking. I'm going to move the messaging stuff that already works somewhere else and do some experimenting if you don't mind too much. I feel a hacking urge coming on. BTW stripping the binaries and libs and that sure trims things down a fair bit, to say the least. I also made a squish linux package. I need a sqafix configuration example though before I'd call it a done deal. Works great! Way getter then DOS that's for sure. OS/2? I'd like to see a comparison. Offhand I think it would kick OS/2's butt. :-) Life is good, Maurice --- Msged/LNX 6.1.1* Origin: LMBrain Pointy System (1:153/401.1) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 153/401 307 140/1 106/2000 633/267 |
