Ah....  You found the specific screen that hangs?  If so, we should be able
to modify that piece of code.....

What is the console hanging on specifically?  I find it would hang after
the password was entered, not on the waiting for caller screen....  [Ok,
maybe my memory isn't right....  There were two or three places that the
telnet code paused....]
