Hey Gert!

Another obsoleted format? So basically all ported Fido software only
supplies internal formats that nobody can read, nevermind write to without
additional ported abandonware. Perhaps that Is the reasoning behind
newsgroup gateways?

What percentage use traditional Fido connection methods and software? Also
would you say traditional methods are expanding, contracting or relatively
stable within your area of concern?

Why not just use newsgroup capable software? How does either group benefit
from gating to the other?

In what format? Can I just use cat, more or less to read the output?

I saw that. In my particular case - the machine where the node resides -
perl is not an option. It is a more traditional Unixie machine based upon
the earliest Unix philosophy. Bloatware isn't a possibility there.

Understood. Do you find many?

Life is good,
