Some designs keep repairs and mechanics in mind, and some don't.  

I'm just happy that when I go to replace my fuel pump, I don't have to drop
the tank.  GM got smart and put the access area in the trunk behind the
rear seats.

Just plugging a can of R134a on the system sometimes doesn't go on just
right. When that happens you have r134a shooting out all over the place. 
That happened to me on more than one occasion.  Mostly due to trying to
charge the system when the car was hot and burning my arm on the heater
core hose when trying to connect the can.
