Just wondering why the called it "Commodore 65" and not may be
"Commodore 84". And if they were even allowed to sell modified C64 anyway
under a different name (C65).

That issue was January 1984 so the price might have gone down
significantly in the meantime.

I bought mine late. It was October 1984 and I think I paid 640 Deutsch
Mark. I think the exchange rate USD to DM was 4 Deutsch Mark for 1 USD
back then. So that would have been $160 then. Would match the price in
the magazine.
