TL> Hmm, it's more likely they didn't know how to use Hyperterm or any of

Actually since I tried Hyperterm, and I could dial ok with the latest
I wondered if too they just were not curious enough, and of course they
were Internet hooked.

TL> represent a new opportunity. I'm not in a position to maintain dialup
TL> lines (especially at today's line rental rates, which are 2-3 x what
TL> they were when we had the BBS running), and I'm also able to physically

TL> cost (some 10000 miles away in Atlanta).

You forgot hydro. I was looking too at the latest ADSL and have all
the filters for the phone, so it can be left online 24/7 but then
I backed out for lack of a BBS program, and it is a do it alone thing
and well I have not been getting too much free time to tinker with it,
so----o we'll see for 2007.

TL> It's going to take some time, especially since I'm working on a
TL> priority upgrade to my Echolink setup - I am setting up a HF link, for
TL> demonstration purposes with the bushfire crisis, with the option of
TL> enabling the transmitter, if it's needed to assist.

I am on Echolink too ... been on since the days when it was known
as Ilink. I wanted to get something like that too, and IRLP but
as yet, I have not decided where to fit that in too.
