I am not sure what kind of command that is. It must be something that
bash understands. That command and the console font are important for
displaying BBS ansi and high ascii graphic characters as expected.

I have forgotten what command is used to reverse that. Looking in my
.bashrc it looks like "\033[0" is the default on this box. Running
reset at the console will get you back to the default also.

I should really investigate why/how that works one day.. :)
