Long tags are fine, even those based on Usenet groups.  If you let FE
auto-create areas then even the filenames will still be kosher.

Routing is easy to cobble-together using a combination of simple routes for
each defined link and their AKAs.  Anything more complex would require a
route file.  Even they're easy after a while.
