Hey mark!
ml> i do note that you did not respond to the rest of my post
I am not sure what I could add to it in the way of a response. As far as I can
tell we're on the path of total disagreement without resolution. However I did
get the sense that we both have no plans to push the idea of actually using
tabs in fidonet messaging. From my perspective I only brought it up due to the
inclusion of three tabs in the second last "Guy Robot" message and already
found a fix for it -> coreutils's 'expand'. Near as I could tell after posting
the fixed version everything was as it should be in the land of all things
Fidonet but I could easily be wrong about that.
Anyhow I think the best idea is not to deploy tabs in messages. I see no good
reason for them and they can be successfully dealt with if and when needed
without breaking into too much of a sweat.
ml> hunh? can you explain with a bit more detail?
Not at the moment but it seems to have resolved itself ... again. :::sigh:::
ml> i will give you that particular brownie point
I think it is worth more that that, say at least a merit badge.
However I am still claiming bragging rights over the tabs issue and could have
easily faked out a 'solution' by dropping one of the leading spaces without you
knowing although I would have known and probably had some guilt feelings about
it. This way I know I did the right thing and thus am the better man for it.
Chew on that DOS-think boy!!! :::evil grin:::
Life is good,
Maurice
... Don't cry for me I have vi.
