It does now.  The edit of compress.cfg took care of that.  Perhaps it is
the same with OS/2.

While I have your attention I am wondering about any usleep() calls. 
Apparently this has changed in newer glibc's since I just found out that
certain source no breaks when compiling against glibc-2.1.3 due to
usleep().  It now has me wondering about glibc-2.2.x versions.
