Last time I got decent service from medical personel was
in 1979.
I didn't walk but figuratively ran to a doctor over what I 
thought a melanoma.

It was.
Removed in a couple of minutes.

Update
A great many problems resolved as of Dec. 7
Zooming along in Linux.
Recovery far in excess of expectations.

Setting up for backup to burn down my Slackware Linux installation,
attempt recovery of hard drive and starting from scratch just 
for the fun of it.
Previously downloaded software and files however will be retained
and migrated over to virin hard drive.

In my efforts to rehabilitate and driven by pain I've learned how
to learn.

Linux is an absolutely astonishing operating system.

I expect to double or triple my knowledge of it in the next 
few days.
