Ok,
Heres todays dumb question.....and yes it's been driving me crazy all day!
We have been trying to set up 3.12 on a server to do duplexing. The server
is a p2/300 with two 7gb maxtor IDE drives and 392 megs of ram.
We are registering the memory in the autoexec.ncf with the REGISTER MEMORY
1000000 16000000 command.
Now the problem....the system will not mount sys with 4k block size, but it
will with 8k block size. Even with only one drive in the system it still
doesn't like 4k block size.
The error message we get is:
Volume sys not mounted cache memory allocator out of available memory
Insufficient memory available to mount volume.
But we then type MEMORY the system reports: 392,832 kilobytes
Change to 8k block and up she comes!! with 97% free resources.
Any thoughts??
Thanks
Neil
