>That is not the only effect of pheromones. The full range of effects on
humans isn't well understood.

>But pheromones fit into receptors in the olfactory equipment. The
pheromones from one creature don't usually effect another (So you kitten
when she goes into heat doesn't seem suddenly more sexy to you, but
tomcat= s
all over your neighborhood will be really glad to make her acquaintance)

This is probably true, but if the Progenitors did do what is assumed that
t= hey did and what
the Ksassans believe they did, then they accept that other humanoid species=
 might be
receptive to the pheromones. It is possible that these various humanoid ra= ces have
the necessary olfactory equipment to receive the Ksassan pheromones, but
th= e response
is not necessarily sexual but different. Are there chemicals that could
ma= ke people
suggestible and prone to being manipulated, for example?

>Humans do have pheromones. and they do communicate things about us.

Of course.

>Okay! Arrogant snots. "no, we are not genetically designed to affect you.
You are all genetically designed to be really nice to us."

Sounds just like the perfect Ksassan point of view. I might use that line
= in a story someday.

>The problem in your comparison between DNA and Pheromones is that
pheromones and the olfactory equipment necessary to percieve them is pretty complex!

On the other hand, perhaps Ksassan pheromones are not that complex.
