The point exactly! Not too many bits, if used in trained hands, are overly
severe. However, it's the poor horses who wind up in severe bits due to
rough handling of their mouths that I have a problem with. And rarely is it
the rider who's blamed...always the horse! And it's punishment for having
been mis-ridden is to get a harsher bit. Is there something wrong with this
picture?
