Are these things expensive? I tried Julia's trick but my spool
(styrofoam) was a small one -- it was the only styro one I had.
It was still up too far to use it for a "plug" inside the cone
of thread.
The cones are much less expensive to use but I don't want to
have to spend ten bucks on an adapter to use them.
