I checked and, depending on who you listen to, one of them - I think it was
cygwin - is completley broken while the other one (mingw) may or may not
work with vista and only xp in 32-bit.  Not being able to verify this I am
inclined to think that neither works in 64-bit Widows world if indeed there
is such a thing as pure 64-bit Windows (any release).  Nobody here uses
Vista yet as the few hardy ones I would trust to know went back to xp.
