Its simple enough - the BoB convinced the Luftwaffe that day bombing was
a very bad idea, so it switched to night bombing raids: the Blitz. It
took the development of airborne Radar systems to make night fighters
effective against bombers. These became available around the start of the
Blitz.

Effective radar-equipped night fighters preceded good radar-controlled
anti-aircraft guns by around two years, so seem to have not had much
bearing on ending the Blitz.
