You have put this very well, and really made me understand why I was
having more trouble than usual. I am used to the karate and therefore
have a better idea of what will happen next. I get good shots of that.
The problem was, at the 8 hour train-a-thon, they had many different styles.
I didn't always know what was going to happen and shot what I SAW. As you
say, I got something a split second later, which didn't always work. They
were often still good pictures of the action but there may have been a
fist in the face or something to prevent you from knowing exactly who
the picture was of. I will keep this in mind in the future. Thanks.
Meanwhile, I am able to capture a body in flight, much to the amusement
of the participants. :)
