True, very true, but the system I'm on has a security code built into
the system, because the phone doesn't have it. It's a bit of an
inconvience, because every time I dial a number & enter it, I have to
put a code in then enter that too, but it's peace of mind. Generally, I
leave the phone off, since I carry a beeper also. It saves on the
battery, and no one can pick up your ESN. I do notice, however, that
when I leave it on and keep the phone in an inside pocket, it drains
quicker as opposed to leaving clipped on my belt out in the open. I
believe it has something to do with the effort of the phone to keep in
contact with the towers. If the antenna is covered, the battery is
burdoned more with the increased attempt of the phone to keep in touch
with the towers, than it would be while out in the open.
Just my opinion....
