Hai,
This question/problem is about N 3.12.
There's a file on the sys volume from about 44mb. After reading (+- 2.7mb)
the console gives a long beep and the sys volume dismounts. The file is from
a database. When i try to make a backup with that (DOS) program the same
comes up after copying 8.2mb.
So i think the harddisk is corrupted (bad sector or so). Now is my question:
How can i copy the file to my local harddisk ( i know i won't get the file
w/o any errors). I tried it with tools.nlm to copy the file but same problem
comes up. Can i do something with for example Ghost, imaging the partition,
or norton to check the disk for bad sectors ?
btw. There's is no backup cause i've heard this problem exists allready for
so 1 1/2 year.

Does anybody could please help me out !

tia,
Sylvester Bck
