subject: Lock file problems

Hello everybody.

Has anyone had problems with the specified lock file that
is created not getting deleted? It seems to be HTick that
fails to delete the lock file. In fact it may be that HTick
doesn't close or exit properly and so doesn't delete the lock
file. I surmize this because on several occasions when this
has occured I have noticed that HTick is loaded in more than
one concurrent Win32 process. The last time HTick was loaded
three times concurrently and only after ending all three HTick
processes could the lock be deleted. The current versions in
use are:

hpt/w32-mvcdll 1.4.0-sta 16-02-06,

HTick/w32-mvcdll 1.4.0-sta 21-01-06

No errors are generated and nothing suggesting concern is noted
in the log files This problem does not happen on every run of HTick
but it can happen regardless of whether HTick is called from a script
file or from the command line.

Jeff
