None usually. The object file created by the compiler will contain
identical code to that contained in the generated assembler source.

So you can study the generated code and/or modify it and optimise it by
hand in cases where it is useful to have something slightly faster than the
compiler can generate. There are other cases where it might also be
useful, for example when you want to assemble into an object format not
supported by the compiler.
