Well, somehow you are doing a bindery login and not an NDS
login.
Are you sure you are using Novell's Client32? Microsoft
also has a NetWare client that comes with Win95 and WinNT,
even some NDS extensions for it, but it is not a full NDS
client. You will get the exact result you have described
when using the Microsoft client.
If you are using Client32 make sure the settings for it are
correct. For DOS/Win3.x you look in NET.CFG in the C32
install directory. For Win95 and WinNT look in Properties
for the client. Sorry, can't be more specific there since I
don't use WinXX on NetWare. In the C32 settings you have to
have a preferred tree set, and it might be a good idea to
remove any preferred server.
