That does not matter. The local msgbase format is totally left to the sysop.

The minimum requiremt for a fidonet system is to understand pkt.

The pkt provides the mail exchange, if you want your msgbase converted into
another format, rescan your msgbase to pkt and re-toss those pkt into your
new msgbase.
