Off the top of my head I can think of many reasons and top of the list would be
that libc is at the heart of most linux systems.  However the reason for the
post this time had more to do with internationalization, in particular the LANG
enviromental variable deployed by "Guy Robot" (uk_UA.utf8) which differs from
the one deployed by myself (fr_CA.utf8) on the exact same machine.  Given that
glibc is at the heart of this particular enviromental condition then it becomes
even more of an interest in this area.

I noticed a 'problem' in the last post and added a 'sed' call to replace tabs
with spaces.  Just to ensure that it indeed fixes that issue a repost of the
message is in order.
