You seem to be going down the wrong track, here. Everybody gets all demanding
-we-do-something about underage drinking when the death statistics for auto
accidents come out involving underage drinkig and driving.

Not a year goes by in this county that doesn't have its multiple-death
accident involving just-graduated high school kids, and alchohol.

Typically, the teenage driver responsible for the accident was drunk from
celebrating either graduation, or the pre-graduation spring break. And...
almost every time, they take out one or more innocent other teens who had
their whole life ahead of them, their parents had saved for their college
education, and had high hopes for their child's future.

But.........mention the deaths resulting from abortion each year,,,,and
suddenly its `well,,,,the decision should be made by the mother'!

A lot of abortion could be prevented by responsible birth-preventive
practices, just as many traffic deaths of young people can be prevented by
responsible enforcement of under-aged drinking laws.

How can anyone possibly rage about `there ought to be tough, strict laws' to
prevent people too young to purchase and consume alchoholic beverages; the
assumption being that people under a certain age are unable to drink and do so
responsibly; yet....that same underage person is responsible enough to engage
in sexual activity? Not only that......that same person who is deemed
`irresponsible' is suddenly qualified to decide the life or death of a human
fetus?

I get so mad over this issue it isn't even funny!

They make so many kinds of birth-preventive devices, and have so many types of
birth control pills on the market, there is no excuse whatever for the number
of fetuses aborted in this country.

If some couples can't even engage in sexual activity responsibly by using a
birth control method, that are readily available over the counter to anyone at
almost any age.....what makes you or anyone else think those same
irresponsible individuals are responsible enough to make a decision like
whether or not to have an abortion?

Thats just sick!
