Actually I don't think all union members are that way.  Most - particularly the
craft unions like carpenter, plumber, electrician and mason - are not IMI; but
enough of the rest of them, particularly in the general purpose unions - teachers,
government employees, many factory workers (like UAW) are to make all of them
look bad.  My opinions, of course.

That said, my point about my edge was that reading PM (and similar publications)
gives one a general education in many areas - such as auto mechanics, plumbing,
masonry, carpentry, cabinetmaking, etc.
