zmodem should be working once we get file transfers working in Max.  Yes,
one should be able to use an external procol for zmodem also.  If we get
the serial vs IP connection issues burried where I think they should be,
then it shouldn't matter which type of connection is made when using the
external protocols.....

Ok.....  We may need to be watching how we do this while concurrent
development is being done.....

Actually, 32 bit versions of squish running under Linux or OS/2 (or Win32)
should perform similar.....  16 bit versions of squish under DOS or OS/2
have too much memory limitations for some stuff......
