Title: Classic Ground Beef Tacos

Yield: 16 Servings
1 tb Olive oil
1 lg Onion; thin sliced
1 1/2 lb Ground beef
1 tb Chilli spice mix
3/4 ts Salt
1/4 ts Ground cumin
1/4 ts Cayenne
8 oz Can tomato sauce
16 (6") hard taco shells
1 1/2 c Shredded iceberg lettuce
1/2 pt Cherry tomatoes; each in
- eighths
1/2 c Shredded Cheddar cheese
1 lg Onion; fine diced
1/2 c Bottled taco sauce
Heat oven to 375ºF/190ºC.
Heat oil in large nonstick skillet, over medium-high heat.
Add onion; cook until onion is softened, about 3 minutes.
Add beef; cook, stirring with wooden spoon to break up,
until beef is no longer pink, 5 to 7 minutes.
Add chilli spice, salt, cumin and red pepper; cook,
stirring, 1 minute. Stir in tomato sauce. Bring to
boiling. Lower heat to medium. Cook for about 5 minutes,
stirring occasionally.
Heat taco shells in 375ºF/190ºC oven for about 5 minutes.
Spoon about 1/4 cup meat mixture into each shell. Serve
with lettuce, tomato, cheese, diced onion and taco sauce.
