Your friend sounds like they have purchased a used pc, as if they
bought it new, being a 386 they should have had time to get used
to it by now.
Possibilities I can think of include asking a local computer club
to have some of their dos-knowledgible members offer training or
if the system was bought through a.d.p., to get funding for
training.
A rather intensive course is run by a.c.t. but is aimed at
turning out employable computer professionals.
A.C.T. is alternative Computer Training and last I heard, was in
the vicinity of cnib's offices on Bayview Avenue, although a.c.t.
is on Eglinton avenue east, a bit west of Bayview.
problem with most pc people these days is they know how to point
and click but ms-dos knowledge is not common in newer users.
