I'm noticing more discs sold here coded region 0, but the point was not
that the discs are region coded but that the players ignore the coding,
including RCE. I have a 3 year old "brand name" player and a new
Playstation 2 that respect region coding, and two Chinese branded players
of similar vintages that don't.
