According to the original - MSGID: 1:261/38.0 51411008 - the character is
indeed 0xa4 as it was entered by myself on Prism BBS (1:261/38).  It arrived
here, clear across the North American continent, unaltered as it should.

If you see any other code from your link to that node then something is
definetly wrong.  It arrived here just fine.
