Yes, I've been lucky enough to have found at least one lady where my
husband works that does appreciate handcrafted quality.  The others that
have bought bookmarks like them well enough to buy them but I'm not
sure they understand the work and time involved in making them.

I'm impressed!  I wouldn't even begin to try to memorize patterns.  Part
of my "spread" when I sit down to crochet is an assortment of hooks,
scissors, measuring tape, pattern for constant reference(even if I've
worked the pattern countless times), and of course the thread or yarn
I'm working with.
